Outdoor Exposure: HORSEBACK RIDING

The Horseback Riding course operates with our riding partners at Meadows of Mendon Stables in Honeoye Falls (Map). As with all the OE courses, this course is offered as an inclusive course in which both adults with and without disabilities enhance their riding skills together.  A ramp in the riding arena offers easy access to mounting the horses.  (A newly built and installed ramp entrance to the restrooms is worth mentioning, too!)  There are a variety of reins available to fit more individuals' needs.  Staff are trained to ride as backriders, offering torso support, and to walk beside the rider if needed to ensure balance stability.
