of people with disabilities that will never be forgotten. To the best of our knowledge, this week of
events is one of a kind, nothing like it is being planned across the nation.
Our keynote speaker, David Kiley,
is an internationally know wheelchair basketball champion. He has won two Paralympic gold medals, one
silver and two bronze. Along with his basketball
medals, Dave won four gold medals in track at the 1976 Toronto Paralympic Games
and took home two gold and two silver medals in downhill skiing at the 1992
Winter Paralympics in Albertville, France.
Equal to his accomplishments in the athletic arena and perhaps greater has
been his contributions as a leader, a coach and an administrator.
